About Us
Welcome to HistoryMedieval, an independent, reader-supported medieval history platform dedicated to making the Middle Ages more accessible, engaging, and understandable for modern readers.
Founded as part of the wider History Enthusiasts community established in 2008, HistoryMedieval launched as a dedicated medieval-history publication to explore the people, events, beliefs, conflicts, discoveries, and daily lives that shaped the medieval world. Through well-researched articles, editorial book reviews, timelines, interviews, and historical analysis, the platform aims to combine readability with careful attention to historical evidence and sources.
HistoryMedieval exists for readers who want medieval history explained clearly and thoughtfully – without sacrificing complexity or accuracy. Our goal is not only to inform, but also to encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and a deeper appreciation of the medieval past and its continuing influence on the modern world.
The platform remains freely accessible and is supported through readers, affiliate partnerships, sponsorships, and voluntary contributions. Your support helps fund research, writing, editing, hosting, and the continued development of new articles, reviews, podcasts, and educational content.
Thank you for supporting independent medieval history publishing and helping keep the medieval past alive for new generations of readers.
