Link Policy & Sponsored Disclosure Terms

Sponsored editorials on HistoryMedieval are paid editorial placements. To protect readers, advertisers, and the long-term reputation of the website, all sponsored content is subject to the following link and disclosure terms:

  • Sponsored Disclosure

Each sponsored editorial will include a clear visible disclosure, such as “Sponsored Editorial”, “Advertisement”, or “Paid Partnership”, at or near the beginning of the article.

  • Permanent Labelling

The sponsored disclosure is permanent and will not be removed, hidden, or altered after publication.

  • Approved Links

Paid links must be relevant, contextual, brand-safe, and approved by HistoryMedieval before publication.

  • Sponsored Attribute

Paid links are published with rel="sponsored" by default.

  • Temporary Dofollow

A temporary dofollow placement may be agreed in writing before publication. Unless otherwise agreed, the link will remain unqualified for six months from publication, after which rel="sponsored" will be added.

  • Dofollow Extensions

Requests to extend an agreed promotional period beyond the standard six months may be subject to an additional fee.

  • Publication Status

Permanent publication means the article remains published, but it does not mean permanent dofollow link status.

  • Editorial Rights

HistoryMedieval may amend link attributes, anchor text, disclosures, or link placement for legal, editorial, reader-safety, search-engine, or reputational reasons.

  • Disclosure Requests

Requests to remove sponsored disclosure or retain permanent dofollow status will not be accepted unless expressly agreed in writing before publication.

  • No Guarantees

Publication does not guarantee Google indexing, ranking improvement, traffic, conversions, sales, domain authority transfer, or SEO performance.
